Student Supply List


To help you prepare for the school year, below you'll find the list of supplies each student needs by grade.

Holy Trinity Catholic School Supply List
2011-2012
6th, 7th, and 8th grades have updated summer reading and project assignments posted 7/24/11

These items should be brought to school on the first day.
Supplies will need to be replenished throughout the year.
Kindergarten (UPDATED FOR 2011-2012)
Crayons - 1 box of EIGHT primary colors, large size if available. (Please no smelly or glitter crayons, pencils or markers)
Soft plastic zipper pencil case (print child's name on pencil case)
2 glue sticks (per nine weeks)
2 plain folders (print child's name on front cover)
2 boxes of tissues
1 bottle of Clorox Wipes (for classroom use)
Cloth mat for quiet time (full day children only)
1 pair of headphones for Computer Class ~ No earbuds for kindergarten students)
(Dollar Store or at Wal-Mart/K-mart for $5) (please put headphones in a ziploc bag with your child's name & grade on it)

Please take crayons and glue sticks out of their packaging and place them in your child's pencil case for the first day of school.


1st Grade
(UPDATED FOR 2011-2012)
This list contains the items that you can purchase on your own before school starts. Please do not send in any tablets or binders with your child. Also please note, when your child's name is requested always list your child's first and last name.
  1. Crayons (One box of eight primary school colors: green, blue, purple, red, orange, yellow, black and brown. Please do not buy any larger boxes of crayons or smelly or glitter crayons, colored pencils or markers.)
  2. A Pencil Case (No hard plastic cases please. The soft plastic or cloth, zippered style is preferred, they fit better in the desks. Please print your child's name on the outside.)
  3. 2 Plain Folders (The plastic type is more durable)
    1. On the first folder, please print your child'd name on the front cover. On the left inside pocket, print STAY HOME and on the right pocket print HOMEWORK.
    2. On the second folder, print only your child's name on the front cover.
  4. 2 Glue Sticks (every nine weeks)
  5. 2 Sharpened No. 2 Pencils (every nine weeks)
  6. 2 Boxes of Tissues (for classroom use)
  7. A container of Clorox or Lysol Wipes (for classroom use)
  8. $5.00 for Scholastic News (checks made out to Holy Trinity School)
2nd Grade (UPDATED FOR 2011-2012)
The students entering Second Grade for the next school year are asked to purchase the following supplies:

3 pencils (Replenish as needed.)
1 eraser
1 box of crayons (no more than 16)
1 glue stick per nine weeks
1 spiral notebook
1 zipper pencil case - durable cloth preferred
4 folders with pockets
1 book cover (JUMBO size only- large will not work)
2 boxes of tissues
1 pack of sanitizing wipes (Clorox or Lysol wipes)
1 set of headphones for Computer class in a ziplock bag,
labeled with child's name and homeroom (only needed if
your child does not already have one in the computer lab)

Also, there will be a $5.00 fee for a subscription to Scholastic News. Please send cash or a check made payable to "Holy Trinity School" in an envelope marked Grade 2 Scholastic News.

The above items should be brought to school on the first day.
Please label the pencil case. The folders will be labeled in school.

3rd Grade (UPDATED FOR 2011-2012)
The students entering Grade 3 for the 2011-2012 school year are required to purchase the following items during the summer in preparation for the school year. The supplies for the first 9 weeks are to be brought to school on the opening day. Any supplies not meeting the requirements will be sent home.

1 box of crayons (no more than 16)
1 box of fine tip markers (no more than 8)
2 (#2) pencils per each 9 weeks (no mechanicals)
1 eraser
1 glue stick per each 9 weeks
1 zippered pencil case - durable cloth only-limited desk space
1 packet (100 count) 3x5 lined note cards
4 large book covers
3 single subject notebooks - *WIDE RULED ONLY*
Please label on the outside: 2 for Math
1 for Language Arts
5 Pocket Folders, labeled on the outside as follows:
Pockets need to be on the BOTTOM , not sides of folders
Orange - Homework
Green - Spanish
Yellow - Science
Red - Social Studies
ANY color - Computers

1 Flash Drive (2gb)
2 boxes of tissues

* Required Summer Reading: Good Morning, Gorillas by Mary Pope Osborne. (There are worksheets that go along with the reading, copies are in the school office.)

Please have all notebooks labeled for the first day of school. All sharpened pencils, crayons, and markers should be in the pencil case.

4th Grade (UPDATED FOR 2011-2012)
The students entering the Fourth Grade for the next school year are asked to purchase the following supplies:

Pencils #2 only
Pens-2 red pens
Crayons no more than 16
Markers no more than 10
4 glue sticks
Loose leaf (wide ruled only)
2 highlighters
Scissors
Flash drive
Pencil case hard or soft
5 Subject notebook with pocket folders
6 pocket folders: yellow, red, blue, black, green, and a color of your choice
Folder and notebooks will be labeled on the first day of school. Please do not write anything on the notebooks or folders.

Tissues and hand sanitizer would be appreciated.
